Why Travel with RW4UTours?
At RW4UTours we have selected the most awesome experiences from Chris Parker’s RW4U YouTube channel catalogue and rolled them all into three magnificent small group Thailand holidays packed with local culture, spicy Thai food and visiting all of Chris’s favourite places. Our tour experiences allow our guests to experience Thailand like a local.
We know that holiday travel is about more than just getting from point A to point B. It’s about the journey, and how you can best enjoy the experience of being somewhere new—and we make sure that experience is as amazing as possible. And what better way to explore Thailand than with fellow RW4U YouTube channel fans and Thailand lovers. Small groups (no more than 20 people on each tour) that want to experience Thailand as a local and visit many of the RW4U favourite locations, even Bung’s house in Koh Samui!
We also have some pretty great guides who know everything there is to know about Thailand, so if you’re looking for an insider’s perspective, we’ve got that too!
Who Travels on RW4UTours?
The short answer is Thailand lovers. Our tour guests are predominantly fans and subscribers to Chris Parker’s RW4U YouTube channel. So the great thing about our tours is that all the guests have this in common and the fellowship of the group develops quickly. Everyone wants to experience Thailand like a local, sample Pad Krapow lady’s spicey delectable food, visit all of Chris’s favourite places and hang out with his friends, Nigel, Nun, Bung, Adam (to name a few) and even Chris himself from time to time. There is so much Thailand love to share on our tours.
What is the RW4UTours style?
While our tours are designed for fans and subscribers of the RW4U YouTube channel and Thailand lovers – we know that’s why you’re here in the first place – we also design our tours so you can experience and uncover Thailand like a local. We also want you to get to know and develop friendships with like-minded RW4U peeps and other Thailand lovers.
Our itinerary activities are renowned for being fun (even a little raucous on occasions) and are the perfect way to build friendships with your fellow tour travellers. While our style is relaxed we are also highly organised and pride ourselves in the tour program running like clockwork, just so you can get the most our of your Thailand holiday.
What options do I have if I want to book a tour but tour dates don’t suit my schedule?
If you are part of a group of 4 or more people RW4UTours can arrange your own private tour program at a date that suits your schedule in the event one of our existing tour dates don’t line up. Send us an email at info@rw4utours.com and we can discuss your options and how we can develop your own private tour option.
Are Flights Included/Getting To/Around Thailand
International/Domestic flights are NOT included in the package price and are to be organised independently at your cost. But we can help. So don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and we can arrange your flights to and from Thailand to fit in perfectly with our tour dates.
The best way to enter Thailand is by air. Most of the international carriers have flights to Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai. Conversely, there are also many local carriers that have domestic flights around Thailand. It is also possible to enter Thailand from neighbouring countries by either rail or bus.
Do I need a Visa to enter Thailand?
Nationals of over 40 other countries are eligible to travel to Thailand, for tourism purposes Visa Free. And nationals from a further 19 specified countries are eligible to travel to Thailand and apply for a Visa-On-Arrival. Under this scheme passport holders of these countries and territories can enter Thailand without needing to apply for a Tourist Visa from a Thai Embassy in their own country but must fulfil a number of conditions and pay 2,000 (in Thai currency) to enter the country. To check the status of your own Thai Tourist Visa status please click here.
How many travellers will be on my tour?
At RW4U we like to keep our groups small and intimate, so we have limited the number of travellers on our tours to a maximum of 20 people plus a RW4U Tour Guide. Having a small group allows you to get to know your fellow travellers and forge new friendships. It also allows us to remain flexible as we thread our way through local communities facilitating activities that allow you to experience Thailand like a local.
Are there age restrictions on our tour?
The minimum age for tour participants is 15. An adult must accompany all children under the age of 18. There is no maximum age limit.
I’m travelling alone – Is that okay?
Absolutely! Solo travellers are welcome on our tours. The whole idea behind our tours is to get RW4U fans and Thailand lovers (from all over the world) together and enjoy the experiences that Chris Parker has made popular on his RW4U YouTube channel.
Solo travellers can purchase a single supplement (to secure their own room) or purchase a Solo Traveller Match package. This is when we match you with a person of similar age and gender to share a room. RW4UTours are experienced at matching guests together and this is a great option for participants who want to take advantage of the twin share price but are travelling alone.
Can I add an extra night/s at the beginning or end of my group trip, either before or during the trip?
You sure can. Just ask your RW4U travel specialist at the time of booking or during the trip.
What happens if I catch Covid-19 on tour?
RW4U has a contingency plan to isolate any guests who test positive to Covid-19. The options are to have the passenger isolate in their room OR have them accommodated in an isolation hotel not located with the rest of the tour. It will be an additional cost and provided you have the correct travel insurance cover, most, if not all costs will be recoverable.
What type of accommodation will I stay in?
We want all our passengers to be as comfortable as possible, so we stay in 4 Star accommodation that are fully air-conditioned and the staff are quite fluent in English. Closer to your departure date we will provide you with the hotel name and contact information. Also note that all hotels are centrally located and provide free Wi-Fi for your convenience.
Do I need travel insurance?
Although Travel Insurance is not compulsory on all our trips, we strongly recommend that travellers take out some form of insurance. Medical expenses (even though cheap compared to some countries) can mount up and become quite expensive depending on the type of treatment required. We also strongly recommend that travellers have a policy that covers COVID-19, personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage or personal effects.
How do I book?
This is THE easiest part – all you need to do is hit the BOOKING tab and have your credit/debit card and traveller’s information/details ready.
Food and drink – do I need to know anything?
You’ve all heard “Be careful of the food. Don’t drink the tap water. Make sure there is no ice in your drink.” For the main part all of Thailand is safe. Yes, the food can be spicy and the drinking water from the tap is NOT recommended to drink. Bottled water is usually provided in ALL hotels and there are many convenience stores where you can buy bottled water (around 35c a bottle). As for spicy food – just let the server know that you want little or no spice BUT be careful if you do ask for spice at the Thai’s like their food hot.
What do I need to bring?
You’ve probably got all the important stuff: passport, clothes, toiletries, and money but what about some of the things that are going to make your trip an adventure? You know, the things that will help you get the most out of your trip and make sure it’s truly unforgettable. Here’s what we recommend:
- A camera;
- A sense of adventure; and
- An open mind.
